Pastor Woods was installed as the Senior Pastor and Founder of Community Christian Worship Center in March, 2006 by the Association of Independent Churches. Reverend Woods is also a retiree of the United States Army.

 

Pastor Woods began an Outreach Ministry at Emeritus Assisted Living and Genesis Healthcare facilities in 2010.

 

He is married to Sister Anita Woods and has two sons, Johnny, Jr. and Andre’, three daughters, Tonya Means, Kimberly Woods and Erika Caesar, Esq., and two sons-in-law, Paris Means and Vincent Caesar, and seven grandchildren, Kierra Means, Andre Masio Woods, Nina Woods, Daniel Caesar, Stella Caesar, Elliott Pacana-Woods, and Alexis Caesar.

 

Reverend Woods is known for always having a song in his heart and can be heard singing praises at any given time.

Rev. Johnny W. Woods Sr.

Reverend Johnny W. Woods is a native of Evergreen Alabama. He currently resides in Magnolia, Delaware.

 

Reverend Woods received Christ at an early age at The Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Zion Church in Evergreen, Alabama. He became a member of First Pilgrim Baptist Church in August, 1993 and was later ordained as a Deacon.

 

He received his calling into the ministry in 1997 and ordained in 1998 and consecrated as the Associate Pastor of First Pilgrim Baptist Church Camden Delaware under Bishop Doreina C. Miles. His assignment included serving as the Pastor of Outreach Ministries and the Moderator of the Association of Independent Churches.

 

 Rev. Woods educational achievements consist of a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management from Wilmington University, Wilmington, Delaware, Masters of Ministry Degree from The Christian World College of Theology Camden Extension Salisbury, Maryland. He has completed all coursework of the PHD program in Pastoral Ministry at Newburgh Theology Seminary Newburgh , Indiana.

Reverend Johnny W. Woods Sr. is the Senior pastor and founder. CCWC was established March 2006 in Dover, Delaware by First Pilgrim Association of Independent Churches in Delaware.

 

Worship services are held every Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Biblical studies are held Thursdays from 11am to 1:00pm and 6pm to 8:00pm. Prayer services are held after bible study. Intercessory prayer is held Saturday mornings from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. Additionally, CCWC conducts outreach ministries at Brookdale Assisted Living Center, Dover, Delaware and Genesis Assisted Living Facility, Dover, Delaware.

First Lady Anita Woods is a graduate of Christian World College of Theology and currently serves as Vice Chancellor of the Camden Extension.

 

Lady Woods is blessed to oversee the Children's Ministry including the Children's Sunday School and has been seen driving the Church Van for the Children's choir. 

 

Her favorite song is "My faith looks up to thee..."
